About

Hi - I’m Reyelisa Renee

I'm a mom of twin boys and a baby girl, who are all under 4-years old. My husband and I are raising our little family in beautiful San Diego.

When I was 6 years old, my grandmother made me a dress with matching shorts to go underneath it. I appreciated my grandmothers effort, but the outfit was not for me. I quickly made the dress into a peplum top by putting on a belt and showcasing the matching shorts underneath. That was the beginning of my obsession with fashion, styling something in my own closet to make it more me.

Since then, I took a quick detour away from fashion to study psychobiology at UCLA because psychology, behavior and mindset are so fascinating. I'm a sucker for personal development.

I found my way back to fashion in 2006 studying at the Art Institute of California in San Francisco. Then spent over a decade learning the ins and outs of the industry working in various roles:

  • Styling photoshoots, from company headshots to e-commerce websites

  • Fashion management for high-end and fast fashion companies

  • Sales for a wholesale private label company working with large brands like Macy’s, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom’s, Dillard’s

  • Visual merchandising

  • Trend analysis and forecasting with designers and production team

Dressing up is part of my creative self-expression that always brought me joy, but I only found true fulfillment in fashion when I saw how much it could transform moms.

My 2nd round of postpartum is rough, I am so emotionally drained and overstimulated. Caring for a new baby while simultaneously ensuring my twins get their fair share of love and attention, has created less time I have for myself. Not to mention, I also have a husband that I'd like to go on dates with. I'm back at the point in my life where I have to ask permission from my parents if I can go out at night. They are my primary babysitters at the moment.

When I started connecting with more moms, I realized that I wasn't alone feeling overwhelmed with my thoughts of inadequacy and difficulty adjusting to a new body. I showed a mom some outfits to wear for her daughter's birthday, and I'll never forget how much more confident and alive she looked.

That's when it clicked for me that fashion can be therapy to uplift, especially for mamas who need it the most. There is an essence of renewal and rebirth, finding and loving yourself before you even had kids. Because when mama is happy and feeling good, she is a force to be reckoned with.

If this sounds like a good fit, I’d love to work with you. Book a service with me because you deserve to look good, feel good, be pampered, and enjoy the other parts of you outside of being a mom.
